A 2 week program includes:

• 1 Full Day Excursion to Greenwich Village, the High Line, the Chelsea District, & Netflix Film Festival in Bryant Park
• 1 Full Day Excursion to the Statue of Liberty and Downtown NYC
• 1 Full Day Excursion to Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art
• 1 Full Day excursion to Brooklyn Bridge, SoHo, Chinatown, and Little Italy
• 1 Full Day excursion to Columbus Circle, Fifth Ave., and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
• 1 Full Day excursion to Top of the Rock and Times Square
• 1 Half Day excursion to Downtown Madison

Entry to: Netflix Film Festival, Statue Cruises, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Top of the Rock, and MoMA included.

In addition, a three-week Classic Superior program includes:

• 1 Full Day Excursion to Six Flags Great Adventure
• 1 Full Day Excursion to DUMBO and Williamsburg in Brooklyn
• 1 Half Day Excursion to the Bronx Zoo
• 1 Half Day Excursion to the American Museum of Natural History
• 1 Half Day Excursion to Midtown East and the Empire State Building
• 1 Half Day excursion to the Upper East Side and the Guggenheim Museum

Entry to Six Flags, Bronx Zoo, American Museum of Natural History, the Empire State Building, and Guggenheim Museum included.

All excursions are organized by private bus and escorted by PLUS staff.

Description

The PLUS Centre is located on the campus of Drew University, also known as the “University in the Forest” for its beautiful forested campus. The secured campus is picturesque and includes architecturally historical buildings with modern spaces, including a recently renovated and spacious dining hall. It boasts state-of-the-art athletic, theatre, and multipurpose activity spaces, all easily walkable from the dormitories.

The PLUS Centre at Drew University allows students the opportunity to experience life in a small, harming college town with easy access to Manhattan, both by train and bus. Madison, New Jersey, which is home to a few other colleges besides Drew, is known for its friendly small college town vibe and quaint streets— even serving as the setting for several small towns in movies and TV shows. Drew University’s location is easily walkable to downtown Madison, which has several shops, restaurants, a movie theater, and a train station with frequent trains to New York City. The PLUS Centre at Drew offers a safe, suburban environment for students to enjoy with quick access to the Big Apple. 

In their free time they explore New York City by walking through Central Park, visiting a contemporary art gallery, riding the amusement rides at Coney Island and visiting the 9/11 memorial. Schoolchildren will also stroll through local markets and be part of a Netflix festival. The Experience includes a 2-day weekend in Washington DC, staying at a hotel with two meals a day. The campers will travel in the school's private vehicles for the duration of their excursion. In the evenings children opt for karaoke, games and discos.

Students are accommodated in a university residence in twin rooms.
